1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Studic (“App,” “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Orbixstar operates the App

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Studic mobile application, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms,” “T&C”), and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, then you are expressly prohibited from using the App and you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of these Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms to stay informed of updates periodically. Your continued use of the App after the date such revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

3. Use of the App

  1. Eligibility and User Verification
    • Age Restriction: The App is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are a minor (under the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have permission from, and be directly supervised by, your parent or guardian to use the App.
    • Student Status: Studic is designed exclusively for students. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are currently enrolled at or otherwise affiliated with the institute you select during registration.
    • Verified Network: You must securely select your City and Institute upon account creation. This is a core feature to ensure users are connecting within their educational community.
  2. Account Registration and Security
    • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
    • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
    • Privacy Feature: Your phone number is strictly for account verification and remains hidden from all other users. All communication must occur through the secure in-app chat.
  3. Prohibited Activities
    You may not access or use the App for any purpose other than that for which we make the App available. The App is for personal, non-commercial use related to the buying, selling, and sharing of used academic books, notes, and study materials. As a user of the App, you agree not to:
    • Post advertisements for items other than used academic materials (e.g., general merchandise, illegal goods, services).
    • Engage in illegal activity, fraud, or misrepresentation.
    • Attempt to bypass or circumvent the App’s security features, including obtaining other users’ private information (like phone numbers) outside of the intended secure channels.
    • Use the App to send unsolicited messages, spam, or phishing attempts.
    • Impersonate any person or entity.
    • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful computer code.

4. Marketplace Functionality

  1. Buying and Selling
    • Transactions: Studic is a platform only. We do not take part in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or condition of the items listed, nor the accuracy of the listings.
    • Secure Transactions: Users must use the secure in-app chat to negotiate prices and arrange a mutually convenient meeting place for handover and cash payment upon delivery.
    • Risk: All transactions are conducted at the users’ own risk. We strongly advise users to meet in a public, safe, and well-lit place.
    • Instant Cleanup: Once a seller deletes an ad after a successful sale, the related chat history will be automatically deleted for privacy.
  2. Content and Listings
    • User-Generated Content (UGC): You are solely responsible for all content you upload, post, or publish on the App (e.g., text, images, listings, chat messages) (“UGC”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your UGC in connection with the App.
    • Accuracy: You agree that your listings will be truthful and accurate descriptions of the items for sale.
    • Intellectual Property: You warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses and rights to any content you post, and that your UGC does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

5. Studic Cashback Program (Refer & Earn)

  1. Program Mechanics
    • Referral Reward: You instantly earn a Rs. 100 reward when a friend uses your unique invitation code to create an account AND posts their first ad.
    • Cash Out: Rewards are tracked in your profile. You can request a cash back when your earned rewards reach multiples of Rs. 1000.
    • Payment: Cash-out payments will be processed through JazzCash or Easypaisa details provided by the user.
  2. Terms and Conditions of Rewards
    • Rewards are earned solely through the successful completion of the referral criteria (registration *and* first ad posted).
    • Studic reserves the right to withhold or cancel rewards if we suspect fraudulent activity, misuse of the referral code, or violation of these Terms.
    • Rewards are non-transferable and have no cash value until a cash out request is processed and approved by Studic.
    • Studic reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Refer & Earn program at any time without prior notice.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  1. Disclaimers
    The App is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. You agree that your use of the App and our services is at your sole risk. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
    • We do not warrant that:
    • the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure;
    • any defects will be corrected; or
    • the App or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
  2. Limitation of Liability
    To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Studic, its affiliates, directors, or employees be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and your access to the App, at our sole discretion, without notice and liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. You may also delete your profile information and account at any time through the Profile Control feature.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the App are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
